June 8th – Thursday– Guided Tour –  Castle Cary Horsehair Factory – address Higher Flax Mills, Torbay Rd, Castle Cary, BA7 7DY
Visit commences at 2.00 pm – Guided tour £6 per head – tour lasts 1 hour.

Members might like to follow this with a visit to Castle Cary Museum and/or the castle site.
July 3rd – Monday – Crewkerne Walkabout (The Square & Surrounding Area and hopefully Oscars Wine Bar Cellars)
Led by Peter Wingrave: Walk commences at 6.30 pm – meet at Crewkerne Museum, Market Street, TA18 7JU – cost per head £2. (donated to Crewkerne Museum)  The walk is expected to last one and half hours.
August 1st – Tuesday – Visit Lufton Villa Excavations. Members should be on site by 6.00pm. Parking is very limited on and off Thorn Lane and lift sharing is recommended where possible. The villa site is also around 500 yards down a fairly gentle slope which is a bit uneven in places, it will take you 10 minutes to walk there from Thorne Lane and 30 minutes to walk there from Chilthorne Domer.
There will also be a talk given by Dr James Gerrard at the Abbey Manor Community Centre (BA21 3TL) the following day (Wednesday 2nd August) at 7:30pm. Click to see Poster
September 5th – Tuesday – Visit Brympton d’Evercy House, Odcombe, Yeovil, BA22 8TD
Visit commences at 2.00 pm – Guided tour £10 per head – tour lasts approx 1 hour. Afterwards we can look around Brympton Parish Church with Dr Francis Burroughes and later wander around the Brympton House gardens. (Members requiring Cream Teas should make a pre-booking, at least a day prior to our visit, with Brympton House – phone 01935 862528)
Annual Membership (renewed annually on 1st of January): Single £10; Couples £15; Family £18; Juniors/Students £2.

Winter Talks are held at Holy Trinity Church and Community Centre, Lysander Rd, Yeovil, BA20 2BU. The society meets on the first Friday of each month from October to May at 7:30. Members free, Non-members £2
