Upcoming Events 2026

Friday 6th March 7.15pm –  ‘Beyond the Fringes of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site' by Andrew Manning Principal Archaeology Consultant for ADAS. Andy will highlight some of the amazing discoveries found in recent work outside the Stonehenge World Heritage Site, paying testament to the current planning system and the hard work of Wiltshire Council Archaeology Service in advising on discoveries. Friday 10th April 7.15pm – Wheels in History: wheelwright and ancient vehicle specialist Robert Hurford will explain how the technology of wheeled vehicles waxed and waned in Britain into the middle ages. Robert has helped archaeologists understand the designs of Iron Age and ancient Egyptian chariots. Non-members welcome £2 entry. For more information contact  yalhs.coordinator@outlook.com
